James Horne is licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and Structural Engineer (SE) in several western states, as well as NCEES Nationally Registered PE / SE, ICC Special Inspector and ACEC Certified Expert Witness. James has 20 years of experience performing structural engineering analysis, design, seismic retrofit, peer and plan review consulting, existing building assessments, and special inspections, and now in addition performs project management and coordination of multi-disciplinary design and review projects. Project experience has ranged from small single family home additions or site retaining walls to billion dollar hospital rebuild projects and nearly everything in between, encompassing all conventional construction materials and methods. James is a published author and US Patent holder related to innovations in structural engineering and construction methods.
Gary Nickerson is a Registered Architect and ICC Certified Plans Examiner and Inspector with over 25 years of experience related directly to Building Code Consulting and a previous 10 years in the practice of Architectural design. Gary's experience has included providing plan reviews on numerous projects for the State of Colorado, including multiple higher education campus facilities and youth and adult correctional facilities. Gary was the contract Program Manager for the State of Colorado ADA Program for removal of barriers at State facilities. In addition Gary has provided reviews of many commercial projects including offices, health care, casinos, hotels, and elderly housing facilities.
